A University (MUHS) approved workshop on Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) was conducted on 29 and 30 July, 2025 for PG students of Batch 2023.
The workshop was conducted by the departments of Medicine, Anesthesia and Medical Education Unit of JIIU’s IIMSR under the leadership of Respected Dean Sir Dr. Azhar Ahmed Siddiqui.
The programme was co-ordinated by Dr. Sachin Solanke (HOD, Dept. of Medicine), Dr. Yogesh Lakkas (Professor, Dept. of Medicine), Dr. Shoeb Ansari (Professor, Dept. of Medicine) and Dr. Sohail Noorani (Assistant Professor, Dept. of Medicine).
The workshop covered all important aspects of BLS and ACLS such as CPR, AED, defibrillation, medications and airway management.
Various case scenarios were discussed.
Demonstrations and hands-on-training were a key feature of this workshop.
